Things to do in NOLA

If you don't already know, New Orleans is a place full of culture. The arts, music and food scene is one of a kind and is what makes New Orleans...New Orleans.  I've listed below a number of things to do while in NOLA. There's also a few festivals going on the weekend of the wedding so if you had doubts about not having anything to do (silly you!) then fear NO MORE.

1. French quarter. That's a given. Just walk around and you'll enjoy the sites. Check out the French Market, Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral... There's an endless amount of entertainment. You can also visit this website for more info http://www.neworleansonline.com/.

2. While in the French Quarter, go to Cafe du Monde. They'll most likely be a ridiculous line but it's worth it! TRUST ME.
3. Go to Bourbon Street. You can't go to New Orleans and not go here. While you're walking it get a daiquiri or a drink called a Hand Grenade. Yes, you can walk outside with a drink!

4. A good burger is at the very end of bourbon at a place called Port A Call. Get a burger with a loaded baked potato and have a signature drink. Most people love The Hurricane.

5. After taking in Bourbon Street you have to go to the "locals Bourbon Street", Frenchman Street. A two-block-long entertainment district where, on any given night of the week you can hear live sounds and a wide variety of music as only New Orleans musicians can perform. It is, conveniently, only steps away from the French Quarter.

6. Magazine Street. There's great cafes, critically-acclaimed restaurants, quaint
vintage shops and boutique-style galleries outlining this area. Super artsy and a
guaranteed good time.

 7. Take the street car down St. Charles. Just the best thing ever. Hop off and grab some Roman candy. It's a New Orleans staple that's been around since 1915. Just look for this...

It's usually around St. Charles and Napoleon St
